About Alison
My background is in fashion retail and visual merchandising .I started making Jewellery while training and working as a window dresser in London. During my time working in the accessories department at the great emporium "Liberty's" of London my creativity was inspired . Many of my days off were spent trawling the vintage stands at Portobello and Camden markets seeking out unusual and eclectic pieces that I would often rework into new designs.
On returning to Ireland Alison Walsh Jewellery was set up in 2006 in my home studio in the Southwest of Ireland along the Wild Atlantic Way.
I create bespoke eclectic pieces as well as exclusive small batch collections of unique jewellery each season. Jewellery and gemstones have the power to raise your mood and enhance wellbeing. Colour features strongly in a lot of my pieces.
I am a self taught jeweller, and have also taken silversmithing courses as well as constantly experimenting and learning new techniques. In my designs I incorporate gemstones and pearls with plated and precious metal sourced from all over the world . I also use vintage beads and recycled gemstones from broken unworn jewellery often donated by clients . All my jewellery components are ethically sourced from reputable certified suppliers.
All jewellery is nickel free and hypo-allergenic. My packaging is minimal and made with recycled elements that can also be recycled.
I hope you enjoy browsing my collections.
